Filler

What Are Fillers?

Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Defyne, Kysse, and Sculptra are our chosen products for filler to add fullness and youthfulness back to facial areas such as: tear troughs, cheekbones, nasolabial folds, vertical lip lines, superficial lines, back of hands and lips while reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

The Restylane line of products is formulated to act like your body's own naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, restoring volume to your skin. The various products, although very similar and are often interchangeable, are each ideally formulated to be used on a certain area of the face. This gives each product a unique particle size for tailored treatment and best results.

What Does Cosmetic Filler Address?

Restylane

Used as our all-around and multi purpose product, Restylane Silk is a smooth, clear injectable gel composed of hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. HA fillers, including Restylane Silk, contains HA that has been modified to last longer in the body than the naturally occurring HA. Restylane Silk contains 0.3 % lidocaine to reduce pain during injection.

Restylane Kysse

Restylane Lyft

Restylane Lyft is commonly used around the eyebrows, tear troughs, cheekbones, chin, or nasolabial folds (above the outer corners of your mouth). It is a clear injectable gel composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the body. Lyft is non animal-based and free from animal protein. 3% lidocaine has been added to reduce the discomfort associated with the treatment.

Restylane® Defyne

Restylane Defyne helps to smooth away your “laugh lines” – the wrinkles and folds that may form at the sides of your nose and run down toward the corners of your mouth known as marionette lines or nasolabial folds. Restylane® Defyne may also be used to improve the profile, size, and shape of your chin.

Restylane® Defyne is made out of hyaluronic acid - a naturally occurring sugar, found in the body that gives the skin moisture, volume and elasticity, along with a small amount of lidocaine which is a commonly used local anesthetic to numb the skin. The hyaluronic acid is crosslinked with BDDE, an ingredient that helps form a network of hyaluronic acid to provide a gel filler that lasts longer.

Facial aging actually begins in your 20s, when skin firmness begins to decrease as a result of both internal (genetics and natural aging) and external (sun exposure, smoking, stress, etc) factors.

Ideal Candidate

If you are looking to combat the signs of facial aging, improve facial volume, minimize the appearance of wrinkles or plump-up limps, you may be a candidate for fillers.

Is this treatment painful?

Restylane is injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts by an ultra fine needle. To help maximize your comfort, you should discuss the use of numbing medicines with your injector before treatment.

How do I prepare?

Restylane requires no pretesting, but you should take a few precautions before being treated. Avoid using St. John’s Wort, high doses of Vitamin E supplements, aspirin, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, such as ibuprofen prior to treatment, because these may increase bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Also, if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, discuss this with your injector.
