What Is A Chemical Peel?

This process loosens the cells that connect healthy skin to dead skin, leaving the dead skin to peel away, and revealing healthy skin underneath. 

Chemical Peels do require planning ahead for downtime and a few days to look a bit…….well, sunburnt.

The peel we offer is a prescription grade in strength, so may not be the best fit for everyone. Our aestheticians will guide you through this process. Simply put, you will be sluffing off the outer layer of skin to reveal a fresh and undamaged layer underneath. Although it will not hurt as the skin peels, it can be a little disconcerting the first time you have it done.

Many clients choose to have this procedure done once or twice per year to maintain the fresh glow.

The Perfect Derma Peel is the only peel that includes the powerful anti-oxidant Glutathione, which lightens and brightens the skin, slows down the aging process and helps prevent wrinkles.

Is this treatment painful?

No. You may feel a slight stinging or tingling sensation which will subside after 30-60 seconds. Numbing takes place once the first pass of The  Perfect Derma Peel solution is applied. A fan or cool breeze may be used for comfort.

How do I prepare?

The Perfect Derma Peel requires no preconditioning of the skin prior to treatment. Only those patients who use Accutane must stop usage (12) months prior to treatment in order to achieve desired results.

Immediately after the peel has been applied the skin will either appear red, like a sunburn, or darker. On day three, peeling will begin. The Perfect Derma Moisturizer will reduce the visibility of peeling by hydrating. By day six or seven the peeling process should be complete.
