What is Redness Reduction?
Laser treatments give us many options to best treat a variety of redness causing issues that can make your skin appear red and inflamed. Depending on your specific concerns, we work together to tailor a treatment package that best fits your needs for redness on the face or chest.
The IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology allows treatment of Rosacea symptoms like flushing, redness and visible blood vessels, as well as improving the overall appearance of your skin.
Lumenis® IPL with Optimal Pulse Technology (OPTTM) enables your clinician to safely customize the treatment according to your skin type, condition severity, and desired results. Light pulses penetrate the tissue and create heat inside the blood vessels, which closes the vessels’ walls, eventually causes them to disappear.

Vein Removal
Spider veins are commonly caused by excessive sun exposure or strenuous workouts that have broken blood vessels. This commonly pulls blood from the circulatory system and settles it near the surface. This blood cannot re-enter the circulatory system once it has left, so it will pool in the epidermis, causing spider veins.
Veins are treated with a deep setting our Lumenis M22 laser or the deepest setting on our Cutera ND Yag
Rosacea
Laser Genesis uses our Yag 1064 n laser to help combat redness, rosacea, reduce fine line and wrinkles, and help promote pore reduction. This treatment usually takes around 30 minutes, and the pain is very mild, if any. You will see the most success with a series of 4-6 laser genesis treatments, depending on your skin needs
In a few small studies, lasers were used to treat permanent redness on the face or the redness surrounding acne-like blemishes. Some patients saw a considerable reduction in redness.
Most patients, however, had about a 20% reduction in redness.

Anyone experiencing Rosacea symptoms like flushing, redness, and visible blood vessels, as well as anyone looking to improve the overall appearance of your skin. Lumenis® energy-based treatments are not suitable for everyone and we recommend consulting with your provider first before scheduling.
Is this treatment painful?
You may experience a warm sensation as the light is applied to the skin, but the treatment is gentle and should not feel uncomfortable.
How do I prepare?
Just before treatment, the technician will apply a thin layer of clear gel onto the treatment area. Depending on your specific concern, you can expect the session to last 15-30 minutes. Immediately following treatment, you may experience some additional redness, depending on your customized treatment settings. The redness will usually fade away within a day or two. In most cases, makeup may be immediately applied, and daily activities can be resumed the very same day. You will be asked by your technician to stay out from the sun for a few days following the treatment and to apply sunscreen till the next planned session.
