PhotoFractional Resurfacing

What is Skin Resurfacing?

The resurfacing treatment is a complete skin rejuvenation solution, enabling us to offer you remarkable results on a range of skin aging concerns such as age and sun spots, vascular lesions, uneven texture, scarring, stretch marks, deep lines, wrinkles, and skin tone.

As we age, we store and produce less collagen, which is vital to maintaining wrinkle-free skin. Using Lumenis Resurfx technology, a laser enters and disrupts the dermis skin layer, stimulating collagen production.

What Does Photofractional Resurfacing Address?

Lumenis IPL technology removes both unwanted pigmentation and blood vessels from the skin, while the ResurFX fractional laser stimulates the production of new collagen and elastic fibers in the deeper layers of the skin. Stimulating new collagen production is the key to a more radiant, youthful looking skin.

The unique Lumenis photofractional rejuvenation technology includes two solutions: IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and ResurFX non-ablative skin resurfacing, so that both skin tone and texture can be treated at the same session. The dual solutions provide tailored solutions to early signs of aging with minimal downtime which are considered “lunch-time” treatments.

Areas that can be treated include:

Face

Neck

Chest

Hands

Arms

Legs

Experience minimal downtime in a “lunch-time” treatment and return to your busy lifestyle.

How Does Photofractional Resurfacing Work?

Lumenis Stellar M22 IPL & ResurFX

The Lumenis skin resurfacing treatment works by combining ResurFX fractional lasers with IPL technology to stimulate the production of new collagen and elastic fibers deep within the skin.

The deep collagen regeneration works over a series of treatments and you should see results after just the first session, you should begin to notice an improvement in skin tone and pigmentation which will get better after each follow-up treatment. By combining both IPL and ResurFX technologies, both skin pigmentation and texture can be treated at the same time.

 Ideal Candidate

If you are looking to address the early signs of aging including: pigmentation, age/sun spots, texture and overall skin appearance you may be a candidate. Because of the minimal downtime associated, this treatment is also great for those with a busy lifestyle. Be sure to consult with your treatment provider before choosing this treatment to ensure you are a candidate.

Is this treatment painful?

You may experience a warm or prickling sensation as the laser is applied to the skin, but the treatment is gentle and should not feel uncomfortable.

How do I prepare?

2 weeks prior to treatment, avoid excessive or extended sun exposure. Be sure to not be on any oral or topical antibiotics.

Immediately following treatment, you may experience some redness or swelling, depending on your customized treatment settings. The swelling will usually diminish after a few hours and the redness as quickly as the next day or over the next few days. Most patients are able to resume their daily activities the very same day.
